Visual journalism is a sector of news reporting that is largely untapped, yet has tremendous opportunities in the current era of New Media evolution. From video on YouTube, to interactive eBooks such Apple's new iPad, there's a virtually endless number of outlets for visual journalism.
However, there is a gap between content creators and their audiences, and revenue models to underwrite the costs of developing and distributing the content. The Visual Journalism Bootcamp will explore the existing and potential creative and business opportunities for those working in visual journalism.

2-Day Event:
Content Strategy Bootcamp
Dates To Be Determined
According to Kristina Halvorson, author of Content Strategy for the Web, "content strategy plans for the creation, publication and governance of useful, usable content." Yet, for many organizations, the lack of planning and strategy is the reason why many digital marketing websites and campaigns are delayed.
Although user-experience practitioners have been "doing" content strategy for years, they've not realized that there's an official term for it. Yet, Content Strategy is an emerging field of professionalism within the overall social media, content marketing and inbound marketing universe of digital marketing practices and strategies.
This 2-day bootcamp, geared toward working professionals in Social Media, Content Marketing and Inbound Marketing, will work toward further refining the definition of Content Strategy, share knowledge and experience and make connections with others in this emerging field. Presentations and breakout sessions will: help explore how to explain and to sell content strategy practices, explain how content strategy relates to all other aspects of the Digital Marketing Ecosystem (including IA, IT, publishing, marketing and PR), present theoretical views of content strategy, case studies, processes, tools and more.
